Scrooged

It has been a busy few days. Thursday I went direct from work to our church Christmas Wonderland, Friends and Family night. Every year we put on a drama as our gift to the community. We have some really talented folks and it is really a professional quality. Friends and Family is the first real performance and we open it to groups and people for free that might not be able to go otherwise. The amazing thing is that these are regular people who do this every year. My kids have been doing these since they were 9 years old. I don't perform in the dramas, but I've helped with the sets and I make the candied almonds to sell. The almonds help us pay for the production and everyone loves them.

Here is the set for this year's
"the Gospel According to Scrooge".

The house fronts are made from what is called "scrims" and when lighted correctly, you can see the actors through them.

My oldest son played "Nephew Fred" this year.

Roy and his real fiance Bethany.

Me and my real husband, Larry...

There is a place for everyone that wants to participate. The kids did a living nativity in the lobby.

The sets are FANTAASTIC! I love that gorgeous brown velvet pantallon suit and would totally wear it! Also I do love livestock in the foyer - you know I would have to stop and cuddle the sheep!
